Connecting with Couples
The energy at these wedding shows was electric! Couples strolled through the booths, looking for inspiration for their big day. Many were intrigued by the idea of incorporating country-western dance into their wedding—whether as a first dance, an exciting reception activity, or even a full-on dance lesson for the wedding party.
One of the highlights was chatting with couples about their vision for their weddings. Some wanted to surprise their guests with a choreographed two-step or line dance, while others were looking for private lessons to fix a groom’s two left feet. We even met a few brides who were excited to turn their receptions into a mini honky-tonk, complete with mechanical bulls, personalized whiskey, and line dance lessons for their guests!
Demos That Dazzled
A key part of my booth’s success was offering mini dance demos of line dancing and couples’ swing right there on the show floor at set times. With a little country music playing in the background, we taught basic steps to the the entire wedding show guestlist. Watching them laugh, loosen up, and enjoy those few moments together reminded me why we love what we do. It’s not just about the dance steps; it’s about creating memories and having a hootin’ tootin’ good time.
Building Relationships
Beyond the couples, we also had the chance to connect with other vendors, including wedding planners, photographers, and DJs. Networking with these professionals opened up new avenues for collaboration, such as offering package deals that combine dance lessons with other wedding services. We left the shows with not only new client inquiries but also valuable partnerships that will help our business grow. Some of the amazing vendors we met include:
